I was at a nail salon, and they offered designs that were Chinese words. They had one for "love", and I asked them for "life" to be on my other nail (2 designs). However, they weren't very good at English and had a hard time understanding what I meant. I think in the end, they understood, but I'm not sure. Here are the two nails:

Translation? Thanks :]

  1. æ´»=katsu "encouraging someone"

    生= sei "life"

    活生= life

    love is not one of them, love looks like 愛

  2. Hello is correct is the character order and the meaning. However, since I have no idea what you mean to say by life, I cannot be sure that these characters mean what you want them to mean. Life is not easily translated into Chinese, and although life is the translation here, it is far from the only word that would be so translated in English.

  3. IT means love life doesnt make sense much in english but thats what it means excactly

  4. What you have could be both Chinese and Japanese.

    The Chinese translation:

    生 (sheng1) 活 (huo2) - to live, life

    However, this is not the exact translation of 'life'. It does not mean 'life' the same way as it meant in English. A closer translation would be 生命 (sheng1 ming4).

    Non of the two characters mean 'love'. Love in Chinese would look like this:

    爱 (simplified Chinese)

    愛 (traditional Chinese)

  5. Yes...生活 (sheng huo)= life.
