Me and my fiance want a quick wedding. We just want to get married in Pensacola, Florida in the Escambia County and thats it. How does the marriage license work? We are non residents of Florida. And also can a judge marry us?

  1. a jop or even a notary public can marry you...there is no blood test and if you are a non resident (i assume you live in alabama) then there is no waiting period between getting the license and having the ceremony....the license is around a $100 and you may get a discount for taking a premarital course but im not sure about non residents....contact the escambia county clerk of courts to find out all this stuff...oh and you will need your photo id and social security card....if either of you has been married before you will need proof of dissolution of marriage

  2. I live in Florida (Fort Walton Beach) but aren't sure of the answers to your questions. I would assume a judge could marry you (or justice of the peace) but I don't know the marriage license laws.

A search on 'escambia county marriage license' (no quotes) revealed this...if it doesn't answer your questions I'm sure you can locate the answers you need or contact the Clerk of Courts office. http://www.clerk.co.escambia.fl.us/q_faq...
