For those who have been to gigs at the Shepherds Bush Empire...?

I'm going to a gig there next week and have standing tickets (in front of the stage). I really, really, wanna make sure I'm standing right near the stage, at the front of the standing section. The doors open at 7PM, so how early should I get there to ensure that I get a good spot? Any tips from those who have been there for a music gig would me much appreciated!

Get there at least two hours early if you want to guarantee you want to get by the stage. You may however wait patiently all night for some 6ft 6 giant to push you from your spot anyway so be strong!

It really all depends on who is playing... it can be anything from 2 hours to 12 hours before the doors open..
