I am taking clomid at the moment 100mg 3-8, but just wanted to know usually by day 6 of my period starting the blood dries up, so those who take it later like cd5-9, do you have to still have to be on your period or not? and which are the best days to take it if you do not ovulate on your own and have to take provera to make you have a period (induce period) thanks

  1. I am slightly concerened that you are picking what days to take this medication yourself.  Most people are advised by a doctor on what days to take this medication and you should stick to whatever advice that you have been given.  It is for no-one here to decide when you should and should not be taking this medication.  Altering your cycle can be very dangerous and you should be aware that you are taking 6 tablets instead of the normally advised 5 each cycle also.

  2. You don't still have to be bleeding while you're taking it. You should start on the cycle day that your doctor has instructed you to start on. There is no one "best" day to start- it varies for everyone, depending on many factors.
