For those who have trouble with CPVC or similar ball valves leaking?

I fixed mine by turning off the water and popping the little cap off that covers the s***w that holds the handle on. Then, I carefully took out the !@#$ O-ring (cause of leak). I got by so far by just covering that sucker in Vaseline and sticking in back it and tightening down but not too tight. Better fix would be new o-ring. If anyone knows where to get one please respond.

To the stupid plumber who responded before saying you can't fix a CPVC leaky valve - you don't know JACK! LOL.

Many plastic type valves are not able to be disassembled. Depends on the brand and quality. Take the old "O" ring to a larger hardware store and see if they can match the size. My Ace hardware carries many sizes.
