For those who import products from factories in China, who carries the Product Liability Insurance?

For those who import products from factories in China, who carries the Product Liability Insurance? The Factory? The Importer? Both? This would cover manufacturing defects only.

You BOTH carry the product liability coverage, but the product liability doesn't cover manufacturing defects.  Otherwise, you'd have no incentive to do the job right.

If the actual manufacturer doesn't carry product liability coverage, you'll have a bear of a time buying product liability coverage to cover your product here in the states.  ESPECIALLY because of the tendency for China's manufacturers to play fast and loose with the product specs.
