I am thinking about moving to Cape Cod, so here are a few questions: What do you like about living there? What don't you like about living there? What town? Would you recommend living in Cape Cod or not?

  1. I go to Cape cod to visit my Grandma, she lives down there. My dog loves to spend the weekend too! We personally love the beach and all the animals and its really a friendly place. The only thing we don't like about living there is the Gas prices and the ticks. You are constantly on the look out for ticks. I would reccommend living in the cape if your there to raise a family and if you love beaches...

  2. i grew up just north of the cape, in a small town called duxbury. the south shore of MA and the cape are absolutely beautiful. there's no place in the world i'd rather live that i know of. though the army now dictates where i live...

if you like the beach, then obviously the cape is a good choice. you could also live just north of the cape, in bourne or plymouth. the whole area has good school systems, very low crime, friendly people, very family friendly.

also, if you're looking to start your own architecture design firm, the cape or the south shore would be a good area for you. a lot of the towns are quite wealthy, and people with a lot of money looking to move to the area often have houses commissioned, so i think there could be a lot of work for you.

the winters can be tough, but actually if you're on the cape it's not that bad. most of the real severe snowfall is closer to boston and the metro area. the cape is usually the least hard hit in snowy weather.

all the towns are beautiful, and each one unique. my advice to you would be to take a trip to the cape and do a driving tour of the cape and the south shore. see what town you seem to like best, and work with a real estate agent there to help you answer any questions like taxes and school systems, etc.

    good luck!

  3. move to Cuttyhunk instead.
