  1. I stopped working when I was 5 months pregnant

because their is a lot of walking involved in my job and you know how a pregnats lady feet get swollen up. I wanted to prepare for the delievery.

  2. I am 33 weeks pregnant and i am thinking of quitting by september i will be 34 weeks. I will be doing this because the gal that is taking care of my daughter is going back to school and really i am not one to leave my daughter with someone else. Besides if i am not working it working then it will be cheaper for me. Its a long story if you understood dshs then you would understand basically if i am not working then i have my labor and appointments paid but if i am working then i have to pay for for labor which is 2,700.00 plus all my appointments and that's another 1,000.00 plus my sons appointments. So it all adds up and really not worth it. Besides the fact that i could be with my daughter before the baby is born is great for her and me. And not to mention to get the house all ready for when the baby is born is important as well to get every square inch of my home clean before my baby is born is important. Good luck to all the working moms out there.

*Mother of 2 year old girl and 33 weeks with a boy :)

  3. I worked at Target!!

my due date was Christmas day. My last day of work was the day after thanksgiving... the day everyone shops!

My boss saw how exhausred i was , not mention how big i was, he was nice enough to let me leave 4 days earlier than what my materity leave called for. And it was paid.

  4. I'm stopping two weeks before my due date.  I want time to get my house in order and rest up before the baby arrives.  There will be no resting once she is here!  My husband and I can afford it, and so it makes the most sense to us.

  5. I plan on working until my 8th month (end of).

  6. I quit at about 32 weeks (give or take a week) because of severe sciatica because I worked on my feet and the last full day I worked was horrible and had to stay home the next and the last day I worked, I only made it though 3 hours and went home in tears.  I had an appointment the next day and the dr went ahead and put me on leave.  After about 3 weeks off my feet, it finally got a little better, but every time I walked a lot, it would flare up.

  7. currently my last day is 10 days before my due date(10-18-08).  I may even push that date back depending on how my doctor's visits go at that time.  My second (and so far) third trimester has been a breeze and since I don't get paid maternity leave, I'd like to work as long as I can to have the time off after the baby is born.

  8. While pregnant with my firstborn I started Maternity Leave at 38 weeks. I worked in a child care center and was on my feet all day with 14 busy 2 year olds. I was experiencing uncomfortable contractions already due to an irritable uterus and I just wanted to rest and get everything ready before she arrived. I walked, reorganized her clothes about 20 times, had lunch with friends and watched a lot of A Baby Story =).

  9. I stopped working about 20 days before I was due because I was very tired and my belly was big. It was hard to play with the kids (I worked at a daycare). Plus I wanted time to get things ready for the baby and just relax.

  10. I will be 36 weeks pregnant when I stop working, because I'm anemic and I feel really bad all the time.

  11. I stopped working five days before because I needed some time to rest. I was induced.

  12. I will be stopping work at 34 weeks.  I had planned on 35-36 weeks but decided 6 weeks at home to get the house scrubbed top to bottom and to decorate the nursery was probably a better idea.

I work 40 hour weeks and travel to work from a rural property so i'm up at 6 and don't get home till 6 then I have to cook dinner and clean, etc.  So, pretty much i'm too tired to care anymore!

    4 weeks to go!
