  1. The biggest problem I had was sleeping. The sun shone through my blinds during the time I was trying to sleep. I recommend getting some really dark curtains to black out the light and closing your bedroom door. The light kept waking me up whenever I rolled over to face the window.

The second problem that I had was schedule. You have to be more regimented since you are going against traditional circadian rythm. Make a bedtime and stick to it. I found that rather than the standard get up, go to work, run errands/hang out schedule was not effective for me on GY. Instead, I opted for a get up, run errands/hang out, go to work schedule.

If you eat out a lot now, that will be stranger for you as your meals will not jive with restaurant schedules. That made no matter for me. I will eat dinner for breakfast and vice versa. But if it matters to you, you'll have to do more eating at home.

I can switch schedules very easily so I could hang with friends during normal hours on the weekends, but I know that is not an option for many people. But make sure you fit in social interactions outside of work and home.

  2. find friends that also work those hours,it helps alot
