For those whose water broke on its own...?

What time of day did your water break? Does it usually happen overnight or early morning?

well with mine we just came home from the hospital i was about to get out of the car and i have the most intense contraction. after its over i stand up outside the car and my water breaks huge gush. that was about 6.30pm

With my last baby, it started to trickle very slowly over the course of the night. I woke up and thought I had wet the bed a little. By morning, I still had just little drips here and there. I told my doc I thought I was leaking, they gave me a pad and sat me in the waiting room! It was awful! By the time they got me to an ultrasound, they said "Hey your fluids low!" I'm like, duh, after three hours in the waiting room, I'm sure it is. They scheduled me for an induction because my contractions were so inconsistent, I walked out of the office, got in the car, and SPLASH. They let me go straight into L & D after that!

Out of five kids my water broke spontaneously once..lol  It was first thing in the AM
