  1. Wow, I guess you would brainstorm your ideas. Once you've figured out an idea and plot and maybe a title, you can begin drawing or writing.

  2. Like any other romance between a male and a female. It's up to you to take it from there. Usually the main character is either confused (I'm a girl! How can I like other girls?!?!) or confident (so that the main character may go after someone of the same s*x who is not homosexual. Then the story would revolve around the development of the second charactrer either falling for the main character, or rejecting the first character over and over)

Then you have to layer it with conflict. Like Mary, straight, likes Rob but Mary's best friend Susan is in love with Mary (no other girls, but is totally in love with Mary) and Mary has no idea of Sue's feelings, and Sue hides it for fear of destroying their friendship. So Sue forces herself to support Mary and tell Mary to keep trying to hook up with Rob, while falling deeper in love with Mary and hiding it as best she can. Or Maybe Mary and Sue are both straight and both in love with Rob, and as they fight over him they develop feleings for each other, and end up with each other and leave Rob in the dust.

The main focus of yuri/yaoi manga is conflict, drama and romance. Only at the  very end do things work out and everyone is happy. In the beginning and middle, just when it seems everything is normal and going fine, something happens. Emotions change, new characters are introduced, somebody is hurt, etc.
