  1. the 400... its to short for long distance and to long for sprinters.

  2. Honestly I'm not sure i love the 400 but im a sprinter and its not that hard but i also run cross country...i've never run like an 800 but that seems really hard because its distance but ive seen a couple of my teammates that kinda sprint the whole thing...

  3. I run the 300m Hurdles and they are much harder than a 400m. Although it may be hard and I do it just about every week I give props to any person who runs the 800m. You can sprint the 400m (countering what the other guy said) but you can't sprint the 800m, but you've still got to run freakin fast for two minutes straight.

I also throw the Javelin and have learned that it takes some of the most unnatural and painful body positions in order to get the jav out there. People can think just because they can throw a baseball a mile they could throw a jav fine, but I guarantee they'd be supprised.

I think the 800m would hurt the most but field events like the Javelin or Pole Vault take much more skill.

  4. The 800 meter is arguably the hardest track and field event. You have to combine the speed of a 400 meter dash to the endurance of a 1500 meter run. Very hard to do.

  5. Either the 400 or the 800. They are both mid distance and i am a distance runner and my coach allways puts me in either the 400 or the 800 i do pretty good in the 800 but i totally suck in the 400 and i am not that bad of a runner it is just that its more of a sprint than  a distance
