  1. Ater 8 times maybe he should consider another occupation. I recomend reading the information and practice it the way it is to be done. If you have a good knowledge of what your doing you will pass it the first or second time.

  2. STUDY KNOW YOUR TRUCK

  3. The rease one fail is because they think they know it all. And they don't study the booket. And they are no way really to get behind the steering of a big rig.

What legal in one state is illegal in another. This goes for city, towns and countries as well. They all have laws that groven what truck can go.

I passed my North Carolina. Then change to Ca. and passed that one as well. And I took the hazmat test as well. The first time out.

  4. its the walk around test that is the most difficult, the written exam was a cake walk for me . the walk around test consists of air brake check, making sure all connectors are connected lights working , emergency flashers etc., if you miss anything , chances are youll fail. your best bet is do a walkaround(air brake check included)with your instructor at your trucking school, several times before you even think about taking your test for A license.and remember to just relax and do as you were taught . its a heavy responsibility to be on the road with others in a vehicle that weighs over 10 tons.

  5. My thoughts are most think it is either a brainless job and put very little effort forward or can't comprehend. As I mentioned in my other answer to you, it's a matter of "demonstrating" your knowledge and desire to be a driver. When I trained new drivers I had a graduation rate of 60-70 %. I know this makes you anxious, but some new drivers didn't like the life style and walked,  others refused to WATCH signs and adjust the truck to different enviroments you will operate in. You must think safety and think ahead. Example: In a construction with a big truck and the lanes are narrow    a) disregard the enviroment and mash on the pedal b) realize that you've never driven a truck in a construction zone and slow down c)  refuse to listen to the DR/TR and mash on the pedal even after 3 warnings?  I asked him to leave (amongst other reasons as well) but he refused to gain the essence of understanding you can KILL someone with that truck. Your thinking in the right direction and will be a good driver. Ask Questions, ARTICULATE what you see, USE the INPUT to shape your behavior to be a good driver. DURING MY training period, I took notes, had a little index card posted on the dash, so while I drove I could look and remind myself of what to do. "Entering a SCALE House" "Truck under 45mphs" "Backing up" These were the titles of my notes, so I would create step-by-step methods under each heading and review them as I sat and watched the trainer drive as well as practicing or establishing a 'safe behavior'. Those who failed, failed because they didn't have what you have, that is a commitment to being 'safe driver'. Thanks for the 10 points on the last question. 6. After 8 times he should give it up.The more you worry about it the worse it is going to be for you.

  7. I'm worried that this dude actually somehow gets a CDL and is on the same highway as me!
