If you're a twin, do you grow at the same rate as your sibling during puberty, or not? (Examples: height, menstruation, vocal changes, etc.)

  1. me and my twin sister are identical twins we have been growing in the same rate but when we turned 13 my twin was a lil taller then me.i eventually caught up but she is still no matter what a lil bit taller then me

  2. h**l no...my sister and i are twins.  she is 1 minute older than me but needed to stay in incubation for 2 weeks after birth.  throughout our whole lives ive gone through things before she has.  in the first grade she got left back a grade.   i got my period 3 days after my 10th birthday and she didnt get her period until she was 13 or 14 years old.  she has brown hair i have black.  shes 2 inches shorter than me...and she weighs about 20lbs less than i do...shes nothing but skin and bones at 5'1 and 110lbs and i am 5'3 and 130lbs..    we have a lot in common but still VERY different

  3. Hi, i am an identical twin.. my twin and i were quite different through puberty.. my twin is 4 mins older, and started getting her periods about 3 months before i did, i have bigger b***s then her though.. everyone is different.. even though we are identical twins.. every girl experiences different things during puberty and growing up and going through life.  just becuase we are identical doesnt mean we are exactly the same.

  4. i'm an identical twin and my sister was always 2 inches taller than me growing up...ALWAYS!  I am now 28 and caught up a bit since we are now 1 inch apart...although twins are genetically the same, height is something (and even weight) that can be very slightly different...vocally we are the same as we've tricked many ppl lol menstruation can be different, i am 2 minutes younger and i got my period about  3-4 weeks after my sister...i mean it's all so close but not exact, im sure there were cases where they were exact but thats not always the case!

  5. i am 18 and i am a twin......were fraternal so were not exactly alike. my twin sister is about 1.5 inches taller than me and she weighs like 5 pounds more, but people still get us confused. we got our periods around the same time, i think she got hers the week before me, but after a few periods they got on the same schedual haha hmmm um i really cant think of anything else. oh im rebekah and shes rachel. i was younger by like 3 minutes.

  6. No, I have twins in my family and they are 14 one is 5'3 and the other is 5'5 and a half the smaller one is about 15 pounds more and is much bigger in the chest area.

  7. It depends...  Fraternal twins are completely different.  They are simply siblings that share the same birthday.  Polar Body twins are closer to identical, but not quite.  This is when the egg splits before it is fertilized, and then gets fertilized by 2 different sperm.  This makes the twins look ALOT alike, but they may have small differences because it was not the same exact sperm that fertilized the split egg.  While, Identical twins share alot more than a birthday.  Identical twins are when the egg is fertilized and then it splits into 2..  This would make it possible for the twins to look exactly alike and I suppose, go through puberty at the same time.
