  1. a bowl with a filter.

    55 gallons?! jesus!

  2. 70 gallons for comets/commons/carnival/feeders

    30 gallons for fancys

    yes you need a filter

  3. mininum of a 30 gallon plus filter a good filter wont need airstone but it is optional.

    kOi keeper & goldfish keeper.

  4. you will need a filter def, otherwise it'll look like the tank in fining Nemo when it goes green :) goldfish don't need a lot of space, plus they forget everything within 3 seconds so they won't know what you've put them in :)

  5. One gallon per inch of fish minimum. Bowls should be banned as they asphyxiate the fish, very slowly.

A small pump and air stone would make their life more comfortable. Change the water in small steps, gradually and regularly with water you have aged for about a week. This will get rid of toxins if you haven't got a filter.

  6. the rule is

1 gallon for every inch (go by what the max size is)

    no filter

  7. for 2 goldfish I would recommend between 30-40 gallons yes you need a filter they are very messy and try making a natural pond enviorment in their tank

  8. a fish bowl will do cause you only have 2 fishes sooo a fish bowl is more good

  9. Many ppl do not realize goldies get quite large, the smallest variety get 6 inches and the largest (Koi) get 3 feet! These are just bad beginners fish and should never be kept in a bowl. Also, they have a memory of 3 monthes! Myth busters proved it by teaching a goldfish a trick. A 30 gallon tank will be best, and YES you need a filter! They are VERY VERY dirty fish! They do not have an actual stomach, so it is literally 5 minutes from eating to when it exits. A large canister filter would be best. They also like lots of hiding place and fake plants are bestb/c goldies will eat live plants.

  10. a small round bowl with a castle thing im the middle will keep them entertained 4eva as every 3 seconds they will thing wow a castle

  11. 2 Fancy Goldfish grow up to a foot long, so 30 gallons is preferred.

2 Common Goldfish grow up to a foot and a half long, so 75 gallons is preferred.

NO bowls since they stunt the growth of the fish, meaning their bodies stop growing but their organs don't. Read this article on Goldfish in bowls: http://www.epinions.com/content_31856149...

  12. Just get the biggest you can and then add some more fish - & yes, a filter is necessary otherwise your fish will be at the surface of the water all the time gasping for air

  13. A 20 gallon tank at least, the biggest mistake people make is that they put 2 goldfish in a small bowl and they die because its way to overcrowded.

yes you need a filter and some plants and rocks will keep your fish happy.

    Good luck with your fish!

  14. 30 gallon is the best. you need a fiolter too because gold fish are messy and you might say why such a big tank for my small fish? well the answer is that they dont stay small those actually grow up to 12 inches+ so a 30 gallon will do. and you dont really need an airstone but you defineatly will need a filter. and if you put it in a bowl, you are going to have to change the water every day!
