For u gamblers out there ,any tips on slot machines ?

i,m going this weekend ,but i need to know what machines to stay away from.

never play too long. It all depends on how long you play and how much you throw away. Start with a little...if you win the first time bet only the winnings you make.. A handy tip because you limit yourself on the number of $$ you waste and how much you make. As for machines to stay away from.. all the flashy ones that promise you millions of dollars if you put in 2 mill...LOL

though more fun the story line multi slots are worst the simple 3 and 5 line 7's are best the higher denominatiom the better odds. The payouts are posted on top of machine if they are not then it stinks

Although in my mind boring the best odds are video pokers and some machines if played correctly can give long term edge

If you play slots make sure your playing the one with the biggest jackpot. This generally has the best mathematical expected value buuuut your still going to need to get lucky.. you never know though :)

All of them. There is only one winner, that's the casino. You win a bit you lose a bit more. Long term the casino makes money and the punter loses.

I won a little over 30,000 dollars last year on "Heavenly Cent" penny machine, I put in a 20 dollar bill and was playing on 1.25 a spin I think.

I would say stay away from table games, remember the people handing you the cards are trained pros (not that you will never win, but I like my odds better at the slots)

If it is kinda scary at first maybe just bet 10 or 25 cents on slots and move your way up. Thats what I did and now I usually start off at 1.25.

I have notice (where I go) that if I am playing and losing next to an empty machine, as soon as someone puts money in the machine next to me I start to hit. So stay in populated areas. And if you lose at one machine, I always play a 5 dollar bill a second time to see if the lottery numbers have changed

I heard the lotto numbers in slots change every 7 seconds, so your chances of winning could be big or small.

Also listen for clicking!! When you first put your money in you may hear clicking, at the casino I go to If I start playing while the machine is still making noise I win much more.

This all may sound like odd advice, but it has worked out well for me so far.

Stay away from all of them.... they were made to legally seperate you from your money... does that sound fun? The don't build casinos with winners money...

The only machine I'll drop some money into is video poker.  If you've got a basic understanding of the game it can be profitable.

The remainder of slot machines is based entirely on luck.  One pull and your done.

Regardless of which type of machine you play, make sure you walk when you're up.  Most people sit until they give it back.

The casino can regulate the amount won from slots, or the hold if you will, so be on the lookout for that.  If you are going to Vegas, the casinos off the strip have looser, or better paying slots, than the ones on the strip.  The locals in Vegas know better.  Also, video poker will offer you better odds if you know a basic strategy.  Pick up a book on it. It's all just a matter of luck.  That's why I don't play them too much and I just stick to the table games.  At least with the table games, you have more control on if you win or lose.  

I'll tell you some things that I've heard, but I don't think its true, but if you are not a regular slot player, then it might interest you.

Ive heard:

1.  Don't play machines that are in a "quiet" part of the casino where there aren't too many people playing.  They say that the casino wants you to think people are winning so you will play there, therefore the machines in the quiet area aren't set to win because there aren't enough people around to hear the win.

2.  This one I know is true.  If you are going to play, ALWAYS PLAY THE MAX BET.  It's not worth it if you play the minimum bet because you won't win the "big money".

3.  This one I know is true.  The penny slots seem cheap, but if you listen to tip #2, then they are not as cheap as they seem.  The penny machine max bet is something like $3.

4.  This one I know is true.  Sign up for one of those players club cards, and make sure you stick it in the machine each time you play.  They don't help you win, but the total amount of money you spend is recorded on the card, and after you spend a certain amount of money, you will get comps from the casino (free stuff, discounts, etc...)

5.  Wheel of Fortune is my favorite slot.  Play the max, and you will get a chance to spin the wheel.  I've seen a lot of people win on that machine, up to $1,000.

6.  My sixth and final "tip" is to leave the slots alone and learn to play black jack :-)  You can put $100 in a slot machine and lose it in a matter of minutes.  You can bring $100 to a black jack table and play on that same $100 all night!
