For u.s. only! can convicted felons apply and receive section 8 housing? must they wait a certain time Length?

i am trying to find out if i can apply for low-income housing in th u.s. i am an american citizen..

  1. no ... but that would be great.... my husband has a felony from back when he was 18(young and dumb) and now we are looking for a place and expecting a child soon..... your bst bet is to find someone ...an individual/sell by owner who is nice enough to let you rent out .... trust me there are people out there that ill give you a second chance .... last year we had a 4 bedrom 2 bath house for  700 a month....CANT BEAT THAT ... but had to move cuz it was to far from work etc.

  2. section 8 AKA HUD  housing assistance is backed up for up to 2 years

    there's a waiting list for everyone and those who qualify faster have children


  3. You are eligible.   You just can't vote in elections and you can't carry a gun. /

  4. No, you would not qualify for section 8.   Felons are not eligible.

    You should still qualify for rent controlled housing if your city still has projects (many have torn them down), but you need 2 years work and 6 months of living in the city you want to leech off of.
