  1. Im not a vegetarian, but I may become one. I dont eat red meat at all anymore, or white flour. My mom has been a vegetarian for 10 yrs now. She did it to help her loose weight, and she stuck with it. She doesnt eat fish, or any meat at all. She eats veggie burgers, and tofu. Her favorite thing to eat or my favorite vegtarian dish is a spinach salad with freshed sliced apples, and walnuts or almonds, with alittle garden burger cut on top. she eats this noodle dish wiht egg plant, spinach, bell peppers, and tofu in it. It smells good. Hope this helps.

And she still eats cookies, and stuff. We live in Gerogia and there is a Co-op that's called Life Grocery, and it sells mostly vegetarian, vegan, organic whole products in there. its really cool.

  2. 1. I find it hard to eat meat when I love animals. I feel that animals should not be killed for food because they are living things and they have personalities and feelings just like we do.

    2. I've been a vegetarian for about a month.

    3. Nobody I know is a vegetarian.

4.I have before, but I won't do it again because it's too hard to live with the guilt of not fulfilling a promise to yourself, or myself in this case. (lol)

    5. My best favorite food (improper grammer by the way) , would have to be a good salad with raisans, nuts, craisins w/ sliced tomatoes and cucumbers with cold ranch sauce. Yummy-yummy for my tummy. lol :-)

  3. 1) After reading some online article about "why vegetarian", "why vegan". I decided not to consume meat. egg, milk.

    2) before april 2008, I was 90% vegetarian.

        starting april 2008, I am 100% vegetarian.

    3) no

    4) never change

    5) All type of Chinese wok vegetarian cooking.

  4. i was born a vegetarian and my family is one too! my best friend is also a vegetarain!

i will NEVER change for i am happy!

In the farm factories scary things go on in there! it is CRUEL and HEARTLESS! i'm not going to go into the list of things, but there are books out there that inform the unaware! my fav foo? all fruit!! and the cookie' milano'! ( just because we are vegetarian doesn't mean we don't eat cookies; )

i can't imagine eating a dead body that's been tortured who knows how! i'm sure it wouldn't be easy in japan but if you have a will nothing can stop you! studies show it is actually healthier to not eat meat becaue of all the horriable sick they put in it! good luck; )

  5. I am a vegetarian because I want to be healthy. I am also afraid of what the USDA allows into out food. The slaughter practices in the United States are horrible. However, slaughter practice in Japan are said to be of higher standard. The government tests every cow and I hear they are much nicer to their animals. I think if I lived in Japan, I could actually eat meat without feeling as guilty. Being Korean, I do miss my meat dishes, but am afraid to eat it here for health reasons and because we are cruel to our animals.

    2. I only recently became a vegetarian.

    3. no one in my family are veggies, but since I'm the one who cooks that is slowly changing.

    4. I can change my veggie life whenever I chose, but I don't see myself doing it...unless I lived in say, Japan...

    5. quesadillas. fake cheese, pinto beans, wheat bread, salsa....all organic

  6. I have gone off and on since I was 17. I am now 54. I don't see myself making any changes now since finding out that I have mild seizures and the medication that I have to take doesn't react well with animal proteins.

    1. A person is a vegetarian that doesn't consume animals. Some may consume milk and cheese - others won't. Some may consume eggs - others would never think of doing such. Others might not want to consume something like honey - others don't give it a second thought. Many will not buy things tested on animals or are animal based - makeup, shampoo/conditioner, cleaners, toothpaste, wear leather or fabrics that come from an animal source, etc.

There are also 'vegans' which are also a type of vegetarian - also known as a 'strict vegetarian' by many. But unlike the others that allow for choices, they don't. No animal based anything in any part of their life.

    2. As already stated - first got the thought to eat this way at 17 and has been an off and on thing till I turned 53 and found out about the epilepsy.

    3. My parents are dead now, but they never were vegetarians. I have friends that are vegetarian. Having gotten out of a relationship within the last year - don't see me jumping into another relationship till I am totally secure in such.

    4. Not sure what you mean about "change". I change what I eat all the time - to fit the seasons of when different fruits, vegetables and such are in season. If your talking "change" as stopping (as I have done in the past) - really don't see that happening. Animal protein has a negative effect with my medication.

    5. My favorite food - had to answer that. I really like pretty much anything that is gown. I go thru phases. I just got off my kale addiction - and became hooked on tomatoes. Also really nuts about cantaloupe and strawberries at the moment.

My friends mother was from Japan, she just passed away. She used to cook some GREAT things when I visited her and attempted to show me how to cook them (I never got good at the sushi rolling thing) and made me many things that were vegetarian. But she also was a Buddhist - and didn't eat meat.
