Dear Sirs,

for some weeks I've been terrorised by your company because of payment of $11.95. You threaten me to suspend my account.

I've tried everything to pay you your $11.95. My bank informed me that you REFUSE payment by my credit card -- what you haven't done the last years.

So I changed to paypal. They sent me 2 messages that they've paid you your $11.95.

What should I do now?????

By the way, I've been to the USA for a big Marketing Seminar this month. I absolutely don't understand why you employ such marketing losers in your company. There are a lot of colleges where you can study how to treat clients in a professional way.

Please don't send me a computer message. Respond me in a honest way.

Yours

Peter J. Beck

  1. Maybe you need friends.  This question is way to long. Ask one of your friends.

  2. You need to really look at this email.  What would yahoo be charging for?  Isn't the email unlimited and free now?  You can either look at the FTC or do some researching for spoof emails.  Does the email have a link that takes you to the yahoo homepage?  They say to never use it because if it's a spoof that's how they get your password.  You may want to switch up your credit cards, hopefully you didn't give this person your password, pin, or even the security code on the back of your credit card.  Look at your bills with a fine tooth comb.

Also look at the link I provided.  It gives you info on how to determine a spoof email and report it.

  3. Steve B, and Ted are correct, you should probably check to see if this is fraud.  You can contact Yahoo, via a secured site, and by calling them.

  4. Have you heard of 'phishing' ?

Are you SURE you are actually dealing with Yahoo ??

Find a phone number (NOT from an email "they" sent you or by clicking on any 'link' in any email) and ring them up direct ...

  5. ... Yahoo is terrorised by hackers.

I remember one site had problem with false payments done by hackers, so they froze that amount of money for further investigation.

  6. Your posting seems to be a letter to Yahoo.

We are not representatives of the Yahoo company.  This is a question and answer bulletin board.  Questions are answered by other members of the community, not Yahoo company employees.
