he is an old style western pleasure horse and his headset is more of an arch.... i am using a martingale with a snaffle and he holds his head nicely at the jog but a lot higher while loping....i switched him from a curb around a month ago.... his gaits were a lot slower in a curb with loose rein.....when using the martingale and snaffle he jogs faster than he should and the minute i put pressure on the reins he stops or doesnt slow at all......how am i supposed to teach him to be slow and collected while carrying his head a lot lower?
