it assigns specific phone numbers to secific buttons. like you could put your moms cell phone on speed dial 7 and the next time you want to call er instead of dialing out the number you just hold 7 or push speed dial and then 7

so you don't have to dial the numbers all the time....you just program them once.....assign a number to it...and next time, just dial the 1or2 digit number!!

you also can have a voice-activate dialer....now, that is cool!!

you program it to numbers you dial a lot, so when you want to call that person, you only have to press one button instead of dialing all ten digits.  it is also helpful if you have trouble remembering numbers off the top of your head.
