  3. Well, let's say we have the number x.

    The cube of the number x is:

    x * x * x

    Four times the square is:

    4 * x * x

    So note that the only thing that changed was the first x.  Whenever that first x is greater than 4, the cube of the number will exceed four times its square.

    In math terms:

    x > 4.
