For what reason did Marilyn Monroe often have enemas administered? Was there a medical reason?

According to reports and theories, Marilyn complained of chronic constipation and it those days every house had an e***a bag as enemas were in vogue.  Peter Lawford actor and a Kennedy in-law boasted about the numerous e***a s*x parties at his house.  JFK and RFK both are supposed to have been having s*x with Marilyn.

Rumor has it that RFK was sent to break off the affair with JFK and that night Marilyn Monroe died of an e***a induced drug overdose. Suicide, accident or murder? There are theories about all of the above.
