  1. at least  one parent has to be black some times one can be partially  black and  its enough for the child to come out darker ...  its all in how dominate the gene is ...........

  2. No.......  because you want to know about genes.....This can happen if the great great grandparents had this gene.....

  3. No.  I know of a case where both parents were white and had a black child back during the time of segregation.  The father was livid and accused his wife of having an affair with a _____ (he used the "N" word).  She was ostracized and called all sorts of names.  She took her sweet little black baby and refused to let anyone hold him and refused to talk about his skin color and curly hair.  Secretly she started a genealogy search and discovered her great-grandmother was born as the result of a rape by a black man.  She had been told all her life that her great-grandmother was Cherokee Indian.

  4. yes, unless the child stays in the sun too long or had some tanning

  5. it's necessary for the milkman to be in..

  6. yes because the genes cannot just pop up... maybe it was recessive in the parents generation. then it became dominant.

  7. The dormant genes could have come from one side of the family.

I remember here in the UK there were a set of twins from a white mother and black father. One of the children looked very white, blonde hair blue eyes and white facial features but her twin looked just like her father.

I imagine that if either of the twins went on to have children one day that there would be no telling which genes would be passed on.

  8. white parents can not usually have ablack child. I think there may be a disorder that causes a child to be a different colour.

But for a child to be black one, or both, of the parents would have to be black.
