and limit the riding experience to Sunday mornings around the neighborhood? I mean do we really have to have big bikes to enjoy ourselves?

  1. why shame...riding any kind of bike is an individual choice and that's what's cool about motorcycles....individuality.

  2. lol Janet--I learn something new about you every day.

This is a timely question, as I am currently looking for something small (I'm a little girl) but big enough for highway travel...

I look at bikes that small being a danger to the rider on roadways; around the neighborhood, depending on your neighboorhood, of course, would be safe enough, but if you ever intend to street it, you may want to reconsider. Is the a trail bike or a street bike your talking about?

To answer your question, no shame, especially if it's a safety or comfort issue. It's more shameful to buy something you can't handle and kill yourself....I see that every day.

Leaving skin on the highway is pretty embarassing, I'm thinking.

  3. No shame, Just enjoy riding, Ride what you feel is right for you. Who cares what people think be yourself.

  4. don't see the reason why would that be of any shame.

  5. It don't matter what size you ride,

where you ride it or for how long you ride it !!

If your enjoying it - that's what counts.

; .   Don't let anyone deter you from your

    ~   pleasures - x*x -

  6. hey mom its all about choice hey....they love  big motorbikes, they can get them and enjoy the rides.

However, I get what you mean, sunday mornings ( or any early mornings or from midnight to 5 ), gearing up a motorbike around the neighbourhood creating noise is very very very annoying sometimes.

The again, its personal reference and women on motorbike look kinda cool ; ) especially on vespa and stuff.

edit : I just came to see hot fabulous women on motorbikes....mom.......and I am 23...i am allowed to uh...peek.

  7. Of course not. I think small bikes are a great deal of fun to ride. If I didn't already have a bike I'd get a Ninja 250R for my 65 mile daily commute.

  8. No shame at all. A friend's sister in law just got a vespa and she loves it:-)

  9. Sorry, but you must have clicked the wrong section, as this is the motorcycle RACING questions.

The best advice I can give you is you to post this question again.

You would get a better response in....

    "Cars & Transportation"> "Motorcycles"

  10. Why does having a small bike make you feel shameful?
