For £500 (say £700 because I live in China) should I buy a full suspension or hardtail frame?

I am Just Buying A FRAME 2 REPLACE MY OLD ONE thats why i am re asking this question

  1. I would still say a hardtail. Look at frames from Kinesis and Merida in your price range. Put any savings towards a good fork with 120mm travel.


  2. I happen to always respect "miragegu" answers.

    The only thing I would ask you is: what kind of riding are you going to do? For the money and if not to a demanding ride a hard tail would give more quality and less maintenance problems.

    I have heard China is one of the toughest markets in the world, so bike makers tend to offer good products there for the money, so odds one your side any way.

  3. I would get a hardtail, because most ful sus bikes in that price range arnt as higher quality as the hardtails for the same price. But in china the bikes are cheaper than over here in the UK because most frames are made around that part of the world. So for that money you could get a really top end hardtail or a lower end ful sus.
