  1. What is "shingle"?

Three things your motor needs to run:  compression, spark, fuel.

Spark you have, if it passes the compression test, then make sure the fuel line holds pressure, the tank vent is open and clear, and fuel is free from water and debris.

If all the above checks out, rebuild carburetors.

Yes it has a firing order...but it's a no brainer...connect the plugs leads from each coil to the plug closest to the coil.

  2. engine seized... Get new engine

  3. trywith the easyest thing first check the spark, then check the fuel flow then check spark plug if no spark coil is bad if you get spark try fuel line blockage or weak fuel pump

  4. I have a force 125 also in my 1989 Maxum Cuddy,

I just looked up the firing order and it is 1-3-2-4.

Your best bet would be first to see if the motor is seized up, locked and will not spin, if so you probably need a new powerhead.

Check for spark like you did. I would suggest getting a book  on the Force motor like I have, Selco Force Outboards Repair Manual part # 1100. I got mine at my local West Marine but have seen them in all boating stores.

    Good Luck

  5. The engine stalled --is why it won't restart-- Sounds like fuel pump.Find the spark plug in line with the fuel pump and see if it is flooded. If so replace the fuel pump diaphram . Pump up the primer bulb and see if it holds pressure. These two things go hand in hand. Did it get hot-Check the paint color on the cylinder head-If it is burnt-do a compression test. Check your temp buzzer.(key on ground the sensor wire)

    What's a shingle?
