Force India delighted with incredibly ‘faultless’ car – Formula 1 news
Chief engineer of Force India, Jakob Andreasen has described the VJM05 as running incredibly well, faultlessly, on the completion of 112 laps on day two of the second pre-season test at Barcelona.
Nico Hulkenberg set the fastest lap time of 1 minute and 22.608 seconds on day two of the second test. At the end of the day Nico expressed that he was very much thrilled with the team’s baseline set up.
Nico stated that the team started the day two of the second test with the collection of data and some constant speed runs regarding the aerodynamics of the car.
In the remaining day, the work was done for the balancing of the car and trying out all the four tyre compounds. Moreover, various other information were gathered which will surely help in improving the car for the upcoming 2012 Formula 1 season.   
Andreasen praised the design team of Force India after completing 209 laps at the end of the second day of the test and acknowledged the team effort on achieving every target which was set out to be accomplished at the circuit. Furthermore, he thinks that
the feedback from Nico after the second day is extremely optimistic and the team will strive to perform even better in the future.
Andreasen expressed that the car has found out to be flawless and incredibly delightful for the team after going through on all the items of the work record.
Moreover, he stated that the perfection of the car is accredited to the design team at Silverstone for their relentless efforts in designing the car.
“Nico's second day in the car saw a continuation of the programme we started yesterday with aero runs, balance and set-up work, and a full day of tyre comparisons,” Andreasen said. “We got through all the items on the job list and once again the car has
run faultlessly, which is a credit to the design team at Silverstone. Nico's feedback on the handling of the car continues to be positive and we now have a good feel for the set-up directions we need to take to extract even more performance.”
