Force India driver Adrian Sutil: I cannot wait until December – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has said that he cannot wait until December 2011 and that he wants quick answer from Vijay Mallya about his future with the team.
Force India boss Vijay Mallya said a few races before that he will only announce his drivers’ line-up for the 2012 Formula 1 season in the mid of December, when the 2011 championship battle has ended.
Sutil added that he does not feel insecure in his team for the 2012 seat. He also mentioned that he will look for talk with Mallya to find out what his plan for the 2012 drivers’ line-up is.
The German commented, “I can't wait till December. I will speak to him very soon and see what his ideas are. I don't need to wait so long for a seat. I think I know what I can do, so I don't feel insecure.”
There were also rumours that Sutil will be replaced by Force India’s third driver Nico Hulkenberg for the 2012 races.
Mallya talked to the media and mentioned that at the moment he is just enjoying the races of the 2011 Formula 1 season. He further said that he will think about his drivers’ line-up for the next year after the ongoing season has finished.
He stated, “I have told them, please don't bother me about driver choices right now. We will focus on getting a good position in the constructors' and we will talk about everything else later. Just leave it to me: I will think about it, but right now I am
just enjoying the moment.”
The Silverstone-based outfit drivers Paul di Resta and Sutil had a positive race weekend in Korea, where they finished the Grand Prix at the 10th and 11th places respectively.
After finishing 16 rounds of the season so far, the team is placed at the sixth place behind Lotus-Renault with 49 points in the 2011 constructors’ championship.
The 17th round of the ongoing season is scheduled to take place on October 30 at the recently unveiled Buddh International Circuit in India.
Let’s see how Force India team manage their race at the Buddh International Circuit this weekend.
