Force India driver Adrian Sutil hoping to capitalise at upcoming 2011 Belgian Grand Prix – Formula 1
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has recently stated that he is hoping to capitalise by keeping his momentum at the upcoming 2011 Belgian Grand Prix which is scheduled to take place on August 28, 2011 at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps.
“I think we can have another competitive weekend because the last couple of races have shown what we are capable of. We seem to have a car that is working well everywhere and our qualifying and race pace has been strong. We just need to keep up the momentum
and keep picking up the points,” he said.
Force India have been performing really well since the past couple of races as they have been able to make it to the Q3 sessions of the qualifying rounds and have secured a decent amount of points as well.
In order to keep this momentum, Sutil is expecting even more at Spa and is hoping to score even better performances in order to finish ahead of the Sauber drivers and hopefully, help the team in securing the 6th place
in the constructors’ standings before the end of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
However, Spa offers a very unpredictable and extreme atmosphere as a result of which it is most of the drivers’ favourite track. Sutil also believes that it is one of the best Formula 1 tracks ever.
“When you come to Spa you always have to keep an eye on the weather. For the last three races it feels like the rain has been following us and we should probably expect some more rain showers this weekend,” he added.
Lotus Renault GP are currently in 5th place in the constructors’ standings and they are way ahead of the rest of the mid-running teams alongside Mercedes GP who are currently in 4th place.
Finishing in 6th place is going to be the goal of the rest of mid-running teams which includes Toro Rosso, Williams, Sauber and of course Force India.
However, scoring good results in the final 8 races of the season is not going to be easy for the mid-running teams as the top running teams are going to be at their best from now on.
