Force India driver Paul di Resta hopes to drive for Mercedes GP some day – Formula 1 news
One of the 2011 debutants, Paul di Resta has once again said that he would love to drive for the Mercedes GP team one day but for now, he is loyal to Force India.
Paul said that Mercedes have a great influence on his career, but he is focused on the job at hand with the Force India team.
Paul, whose DTM career and success was mainly with Mercedes, has once again said that his whole concentration in the 2011 season is Force India.
Paul said, “I have said I am with Force India, I am fully focused on what I signed to do this year and that is to drive for Force India and do the best job here.”
He further added that he is focused on the job at hand and will try to do his best for his team. He added that he would think about his future later and will concentrate on the Turkish Grand Prix which is only a few days away.
Talking about the Mercedes team, Paul said, “I have always said Mercedes have been a great influence on my career and I have been part of that family for a long time, enjoyed it, and I am still very close to them, but it is a question you never know if you
would go there having gone that route.”
Paul has already impressed many Formula 1 fans in the opening three races of the 2011 season. The Scottish driver has completely outperformed his experienced teammate Adrian Sutil in the opening round of the Formula 1 season.
Talking about his performance, Paul stated that he has worked hard and everything has worked well around him so far. He further commented that he came open minded in Formula 1 and will decide about his future after the 2011 season concludes.
The 2011 season continues in Turkey on May 8 and Paul expects a tough competition as he said that some of the middle ranked teams will strike hard.
