Force India drivers Adrian Sutil, Paul di Resta excited for Canadian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Force India team drivers Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta have expressed their excitement for the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix that will take place this weekend, June 12, 2011 in Montreal.
The duo has said that the upcoming grand prix will be the real adventure for them, as they aim to pick up more points after a good race weekend in Monte Carlo recently.
Adrian Sutil said that the Canadian race weekend is looking more interesting, as he believes there will be more overtaking chances among the drivers due to the double Drag Reduction System zone.
Recently, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced that the teams can use the DRS twice in every lap of the Montreal race- once in front and the second time at the back straight. However, the team is positive that it will definitely provide
them more overtaking chances and that the race will become more exciting for Formula 1 viewers.
Sutil discussed his 2010 performance on the circuit. He said that he had a very great time at the Canadian racetrack in the 2010 Formula 1 season where he scored points for the team.
Apart from his 2010 race time in North America, he also discussed the circuit and mentioned that the Montreal track is a combination of chicanes and straights, so there would be a chance for him to impress on the circuit.
He went on to say, “I'm really looking forward to going back to Montreal. It's a beautiful city, very international, and it's definitely one of my favourite races on the calendar. I think everybody enjoys going there.”
The 28-year-old driver had a good race weekend in Monte Carlo, as he successfully picked up some points for the team in the end.
On the other hand, his teammate Paul di Resta finished his race in the 12th spot. He also discussed the upcoming race weekend and added that he has not raced at the Montreal track in his Formula 1 career so far. However, he said he has to learn
the track before the race and then, push to do well on it.
The 25-year-old driver also talked about his previous race weekend and said, “I said after Monaco that I felt disappointed. We seemed to be quite competitive in clean air and I think I missed a chance to score some points for the team. It would be good to
get back in the points this weekend and that's what I'll be aiming for.”
The seventh round of ongoing season is scheduled to be held on June 12, 2011 in Montreal. Let’s see how the drivers make the Canadian race a ‘real adventure’ for the team.
