Force India duo Sutil, Di Resta looking forward to competitive weekend in Belgium – Formula 1 news
Force India-Mercedes drivers Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta are looking forward to another competitive weekend in Belgium following their successful last couple of races of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Both of the drivers have said that are confident for the last eight rounds of the ongoing season at the moment, as they stated that their VJM04 car is competitive from the last few races. They believe they can perform strongly on the grid in the next race
weekend with their more developed car.
The team driver Sutil stated that his car is working well in all areas of the race circuits since the 2011 German Grand Prix. In addition, he mentioned that he is aiming to score more points for Force India in the remainder of the season following the positive
results of the team from the last couple of races.
The German is at the 12th position with 18 points in the 2011 drivers’ championship at the moment. However, he is looking forward to score more points for his positive endings to the season.
Sutil commented, “I think we can have another competitive weekend because the last couple of races have shown what we are capable of. We seem to have a car that is working well everywhere and our qualifying and race pace has been strong.”
On the other hand, Sutil’s teammate di Resta stated that he knows they are still not good enough in the ongoing season in terms of performance, but he expects they will perform better in the next race weekends with their competitive car.
Di Resta stated, “Spa is a track that has historically been strong for us. And our recent form gives us every reason to believe we can carry on where we left off in Hungary. We know our competitors won't have stood still, but we're still pushing hard with
development.”
The Brit was really good in the 2011 Hungarian Grand Prix, where he took a seventh position for his team. After a successful race weekend in Budapest, the team driver is looking for another positive Grand Prix in Belgium. The race will start from Friday,
August 28, 2011 at Spa-Francorchamps.
