Force India’s Adrian Sutil says Formula 1 cars perform up to their limits at Silverstone – Formula 1
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has said that the upcoming 2011 British Grand Prix is going to be very exciting for the Formula 1 drivers as Silverstone is one of the best circuits of the calendar and it really pushes the cars to their limits.
“It's definitely a place where you feel the performance of an F1 car. And after three street circuits, it will be a nice change to be back at a traditional old-school circuit,” he said.
Silverstone is a high-speed track and since some changes have been made to the circuit recently to the pits and paddock along with the start/finish line straight, the fans are hoping for an exciting race this coming weekend.
“They changed the circuit last year and I have to say I enjoy the new layout just as much as the old one. The new turns one and two make up a really quick right-left chicane and it's taken almost flat in qualifying. I also think that the new layout makes
it a bit easier to overtake because the old lap was so quick that it was almost impossible to follow a car closely,” said Sutil.
Force India are hoping for a pretty good result this weekend and they are hoping for some good points.
Other than that, Sutil added that it is always a busy weekend for most of the teams as they have their respective factories near the circuit and they try their best to come up with as many updates as they can during the British Grand Prix weekend.
Sutil’s teammate Paul di Resta on the other hand has not driven at the circuit much but he is hoping for a good first full Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend in Britain.
Di Resta claims that the circuit is quite legendary and he is feeling very special as a result. Nevertheless, the team is hoping for a good result this weekend and they are hoping for an improvement in their performance as well.
