Force India’s Adrian Sutil says he is not worried about his future – Formula 1 news
Force India driver Adrian Sutil has said that he is not worried about his future with the current team, as he stated that Force India is not only the option for him at the moment.
Sutil added that he has no fears about his future and that he is not waiting for Force India’s response.
The German is a part of the Silverstone-based outfit since 2008. Recently, the team hinted that Nico Hulkenberg and Paul di Resta would be a part of the team for the 2012 Formula 1 season. Sutil had already requested to team to make a decision of 2012 drivers’
line-up sooner rather than the end of the 2011 F1 season.
Sutil commented, “I can survive also somehow in a different way, let's say. I don't think after so many years doing a good job in this team I have to shiver and think about my future, or something. I am relaxed. I like this team. But, if it doesn't work
out then I find something else.”
Apart from that, the team driver stated that he and Force India principal Vijay Mallya have a very good relationship since his joining the team. He added that Mallya is very loyal to him and he feels the same for him too, so that is important for both of
them.
He went on to mention, “It is also important for the team to announce the drivers as early as possible so they can adjust the drivers for their car for the next season. Same on me and same for the team - for both sides it would be better to announce it as
soon as possible.”
The 28-year-old driver tried his best to put his team at the front of the field throughout the ongoing season so far.
In the 2011 Indian Grand Prix, he successfully finished the race in the top ten positions and scored two points for the team.
After starting the Grand Prix from the eighth position at the Buddh International Circuit, he ended up in the ninth spot ahead of Sauber’s Sergio Perez.
Let’s see how Sutil performs in the upcoming Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will start from Friday, November 11 at the Yas Marina Circuit.
