My husband found out today he was on the list for this NCORP thing. What is it? he isn't telling me much but i'm worried. Does this mean he has to cross train and we will have to move? I just started college last month, not a typical college either but like a 9 month tech school for medical assisting so i'm a little worried. What could possibly happen? He is number 100 or something and supposedly they only need 40

  1. There will be 2 stages.  First is the voluntary where he can choose from a list of jobs and find something that he may like.  Non-vol or phase 2 he will be given a extremely short list, told to pick one or plan on separating.  Either way it's a good chance that you will have just enough time to complete your classes.  Be warned though.  I was put on the list, picked my job and had a 22 day window to report to my tech school.  That meant my wife was left to get the house situated.  As dual military we normally had joint-spouse but because of the speed the orders came we ended up apart for the year my tech school took.  16 months after being on the list we were finally stationed together and had our house back in order.

  2. Here is an article on it...is old, but may give you an idea of what is going on.
