Question:

Forcing quits on my macbook?

About all day I have been resetting or forcing quits with my macbook pro. I was merely trying to upload pictures to my facebook and it would fail, so I would try the simple uploader and it wouldn't even load.. like it froze or something. So I tried to go back, nothing happened. I tried to close firefox, nothing happened still, so I forced my mac to shut down. It happened

a few more times, and so I forced quit.

Just now I put in a CD to listen to and the CD drive got REALLY loud and my macbook was vibrating really hard. So I tried to eject, and it wouldn't. I stopped the CD, tried to eject and it wouldn't. Tried to close iTunes and it still wouldn't, so I had to force a quit and then eject.

Whats the problem? I heard this computer was supposed to be like the Ferrari of computers. That's what they told me in the store anyways. And the program suggested this computer because it is apparently high end and will never give me problems. But I have had nothing BUT problems.

  1. Whoever told you that was misrepresenting Apple computers. I've owned them for years and love them to death, but every computer has problems.

First thing to try is to shut down and restart your Mac normally. I'd also test Facebook in Safari, and make sure you're using Firefox 3, since Firefox 2 was really junky on the Mac.

If that doesn't work out, know that AppleCare is fantastic. Tell Apple the problems you're having, they'll do diagnostics over the phone with you, and if needed they'll replace it.
