I have an 1998 EL Ford Falcon. It has an intimitent fault. The cars normally starts up. Occasionally the car will just cut out. This has happened many times but is starting to happen more and more. The other day the engine turned over but it had no spark or pulse? I left the car over night and tried again in the morning with still no luck. I then tried agin in the afternoon and it started. I have been to 3 different auto eletric mechnics who all say that they cant diagnose the problem as every time i take it there the engine starts. I have been told that it could be the following, Distibutor? Smartlock Problems, Fuel Pump problems or main computer (ECU) Can anyone out there help as i really dont know where to start and cant really on the car when the power just cuts out with out notice. As i said when it cuts out the car still has power and the motor will turn over but there is no spark or pulse coming from the dizzy. Please help. PS, there have been no fault codes.
