Ford Escort Fuel Guage not working.

Question

I have problem with the fuel gauge, does anyone no how i can go about fixing it,ive checked all fuses, any suggestions welcome.

check the sending unit in the gas tank you can take the wire loose for it and ground it out against the body and if the hand rises then the sending unit is bad on it,that's one way to tell for sure that it is the sending unit in the tank,take it loose at where it connects to at  the tank, good luck.

In the fuel tank you will find a plastic float attached to a metal sender unit. Often the wires that come from the top of the sender unit rust, check them out and clean them up as required.

It may be the float inside the tank needs replacing.
