Hey

I was thinking of getting Ford Focus, but someone on another answer said they were unreliable, expensive to repair and plain not good. Can anyone who has got one fill me in on if any of this is true please?

Thanks

  1. I have a Ford Focus Estate, 1.6 automatic.  Bought it new in 2002 and have covered 70,000 klms.  I'm not a big Ford lover but have to admit that this car has been very reliable and still looks and runs like new.  In the 6 years I have had it serviced once each year and had 1 set of new brake pads on the front and 1 new tyre.  The services were as cheap as any other make of this price range of car.  I would recommend a Ford.

  2. i have a 2003 2.0 zetec, had it 3 months and done 5k miles is a great car and i'd buy another.

  3. I have a 2000 ZX3. I bought it in 2002 with 18,000 miles on it. I now have 93,000 miles on it. The things that went bad are the fuel pump and front coil springs...both were factory recalls so it didn't cost me a dime to fix. I have put new tires and front breaks on and done regular oil and filter changes ( this will be done on any car ) I get 28 - 33 mpg and love this little car. I'm sure you will too.

  4. Its a FORD.........

    no need to say anything about them

  5. They are average - there are far better cars, there are also far worse. They're not particularly cheap on repairs, but conversely not fantastically dear. Good info here;

  6. i own a st170 its great never let me down,i have also owned a zetec focus,theres nothing wrong with i work on the as well,and i would recommend to everyone .

  7. the earlier ones (2000-2003) had their share of problems. i think that the later models compete well with other brands in the same price range.
