Is it me or does it seem like ford has engineered their sports car engines better. The new challenger has a 6.2L or so engine with 425 hp. The new camero 6L+ with 420hp. The new mustang will have a 5.0L engine with around 420hp. How does a wholw liter create almost the same amount of power.

  1. 08 challengers have 6.1l v8 with 425

the new mustangs are 4.6l v8

it rly depends on how they are built

ohc usually are a lil better for power transfer bc it deletes a few parts when versuses a ohv engine

  2. the Mustang uses a power adder called a Supercharger..

  3. And the Honda S2000 gets 220 hp out of a 2.0 litre engine. That's 110 hp/liter. Max hp is not the only measure of an engine.
