Hello... i have recently bought this little car, had no problems whatsoever, all of a sudden, now the car wont start after turning the key on... thought it might be a starter motor problem... but then when i got back to the previous owner, they said they haven't had any problem with starter motor at all, and they said the immobiliser could be playing off.... i dont know what the h**l is this immobiliser... also there is a red light flashing for every second on the small clock near dashboard... this wont stop flashing even when i put the key on... nothing happens... battery is fine... bright headlights and powerful wipers are the facts... please could anyone help me... i would be very grateful...thanks

  1. The immobiliser system is paired to a chip in the key.  You might be able to clear the problem by disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 20 minutes and then reconnecting it.  (You'll lose all presets on your radio when you do this so you may wish to make a note of them first.)

If that doesn't do it, you'll probably have to take it to a Ford main dealer to have it diagnosed.
