  1. i bought mine of e bay,but if you type in the parts gateway,in searc on yahoo, its the name of a parts finding search engine

  2. Why not paint the ones you already have?

No, get them professionally done, that's all they do to factory ones. Paint sticking to plastic isn't a problem.

  3. I would D.I.Y it.

They would probably come out great as ford Ka bumpers have a great key surface to apply paint on to.

  4. Try ebay or a scrapyard.

If you have painted bumpers already it should be possible to paint them black, but if you have the matt black bumpers on all early models and some current entry level models you can't easily paint them.

The problem is the paint would peel off the plastic as they are the wrong material. A professional painter might be able to sand them down to make the material more adhesive for the paint though.

  5. If you have painted bumpers and you want them black it is a job any diy enthusiast can tackle.

The bumpers should be wet flatted using 600grit wet and dry paper. This will key the surface sufficiently to make sure the new paint adheres to it. The bumpers can then be painted simply by  using aerosol cans. If you use satin black aerosol it will give a perfect finish..... not too glossy and not too matt.

If you want to paint directly on to unpainted plastic bumpers then this is not such an easy diy job. The plastic should be scuffed with a medium/fine scotchbrite pad and then coated with a special plastic primer and then overcoated with 2pack primer. When using 2pack paints an air fed mask is necessary due to the toxic nature of the substance. They should then be wet flatted before the colour coat is applied.
