Question:

Ford Mustang GT vs Gas mileage?

I want to buy a ford Mustang GT 2007, but I know it's a fuel guzzler. I've always wanted this model since it came out, but I'm concerned with the price of gas going up.

I know it would be smarter to get a Toyota Prius, but I don't want the economy to dictate what i should or shouldn't get.

  1. Not everyone NEEDS a econo car.

If you commute less than 15 miles/day ... an econo car will save you very little.

I can;t tell you the last time that I had a car with LESS than 8 cylinders ... I commute 2 miles to work, so gas is a silly issue, and cars that I like are cheaper, because of the hysteria.

Even if you buy a Prius (or a scooter)... YOU STILL NEED TO BUY GAS !!!

The people on TV telling everyone how they ride a scooter to work because it gets 70 MPH are silly. If they work close enough to ride a scooter to work ... IT DOES NOT MATTER !!!

Enjoy your Mustang ... they are great cars, and you will love the performance and speed !!!

  2. Wait for Ford to give incentives out on the 2008......It's about that time of year.........They probably can't move the car that quickly so you'll probably come out a little bit ahead.

Push on them how hard it is to sell a guzzler and ask how much they're paying just to keep it on the lot.

They're carrying the note on that car until the sell it and the longer it sits......The more it's costing them.
