Ford Mustang Shelby GT500?

I just bought a 6 piston brakes for the front of my mustang, stock rear brakes have 2 pistons and stock front brakes have 4 pistons, can the the stock 4 piston front brakes be replaced with the 2 piston rear brakes?

  1. It would take too much fabrication to make it practical. You would be better served buying an upgraded rear brake kit and selling your stock brakes to recoup some of the cost. I tried exactly what you are asking on my GT and ended up buying a set of upgraded brakes from a reliable manufacturer.
