Question:

Ford Street Ka ('06 Plate)? Radio code???

Just bought a Street Ka from Ford Dealer. He says that I do not need a 4 digit code to re-activate Radio if disconnected from battery; and has not given one. Yet, all car literature says there is one. Can anyone help? It is the 6006E 6 CD Changer model.

  1. I would say the dealer is talking cr*p and I would ask him to get the code for you.

I had the same problem and a Ford dealer gave me the code for nothing (they have software to do it).

Maybe they would charge you a bit for it, but try ringing them.

  2. Sounds a dodgy dealer .Get on to Fords

  3. Yes, you'd definately need a code if the battery was disconnected. Email me the serial number off the label (M-----) on the radio & I'll give you the code

  4. You need the user manual for the radio or the docs pack for the car. The activation code is on a "calling card" inside the front cover.Bad news is, It's a four figure code and It's unique to the 9999 radios of that batch. You'll have to find an audio engineer to reprogramme it.Costs about £20 quid. The dealer would have known this.
