Ford focus 1.6 zetec automatic. any good? (england)?

i am used to driving a manual, is the automatic ok?

Once you've driven an auto, you'll wonder why you ever bothered with a manual.

mine was a 1999 odel. Was v good, but I found if you're driving at around 60-70 and put your foot down just a little, it changes down too readily. A bit frustrating, but otherwise, very impressed.

The Focus is a good car, but the auto gearboxes in the earlier ones can play up a bit, and they're not cheap to fix.Unless you really want / need an auto, I'd stick with the manual.
