Foreign Countries/Summer Vacation?

Question

I'm from Florida, and currently on Summer Vacation. Ever since I was a very young kid, I heard rumors about how kids in China/Japan/some obscure foreign country don't have summer vacation. I've done a bit of research, and it seems as if schools in China have summer vacation, although there are summer school courses.

Could anyone shed some light on this? Sources would be appreciated.

I am chinese Chinese students do have summer vaction it's just 1.3 months and have loads of summer homeworks to do
