Foreign Embassies in the U.S.

Are any foreign embassies of other nations in the United States outside of Washington, D.C.?

And I am NOT talking about consulates, they are just "junior embassies", so they don't count.

I'm curious, because if they were all in Washington, you'd think the city would be a LOT bigger, considering all the monuments and 194 embassies...

  1. An embassy is ALWAYS in the capitol city of the nation.  This is so the ambassador can communicate directly and easily with the government of host nation.

    Yes, that means DC is full of them.  Why do you think Massachusetts Avenue is called "embassy row?"
