Foreign cars in Turkey?

I have dual citizenship ( turkish, british) and i heard that if you buy a car from germany or albania it would be much cheaper. can i just buy a car form germany, and drive ot out the turkish border every six months?

  1. yes u can. I dont know the exact intervals (i recall it something like in every 3 months) of driving in and out from the border but if u embark upon something like this u probably want to buy a car with a large displacement (in terms of engine displacement) I wouldnt recommend u to do this if ure gonna buy a 1.6 litre compact hatchback. Cuz the price of a similarly equipped VW Golf with a similar engine displacement is, u guessed it right, similar in Germany and Turkey. (tho aşşhole Borusan Auto sells BMW 116i for 30.000 Euros in Turkey where the same car is 22.000 Euros in Germany and Turkish version is still 116 HP and German 116i's are 122 HP)

    It's not worth all the hassle I'd say. And as far as I know, u wont have to go all the way to where u bought the car. Bulgaria or Greece would do.
